As a 2-time Grammy winner and 12-time Grammy nominee India.Arie added 3 more nominations to her resume when the 49th Annual Grammy Awards Nominations were announced for 2006 in Los Angeles. India.Arie was nominated for Best R&B Album for her triumphant album Testimony: Vol.1, Life & Relationship, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for her single from the album, "I Am Not My Hair” and another nomination for “Hair” in the prestigious Best R&B Song category.
The awards culminate an incredible year for the acclaimed singer/songwriter whose return to the limelight via her third studio album Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship on Universal Motown Records has been hailed by both critics and fans alike. The much heralded disc, which debuted at number #1 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart this summer, was produced by India.Arie with longtime collaborators Shannon Sanders and Mark Batson (Seal, Beyonce).
