Led by local favorite award-winning saxophonist and educator, David Halliday Fat Soul was founded in April 2003.This band plays soul jazz with classic funk all mixed with a New Orleans vibe. Headlined by the following musicians: David Halliday on saxophones; Jeremy Abernathey on vintage keyboards; Tom Hopkins on guitar; Buddy T. singing vocals; Randy Herbert on drums; and, Steve Bauman playing bass.Fat Soul provides high energy party music that truly exemplifies the improvisational nature of jazz music.
